Sunday's prams arriving.

I have more prams - I'm a happy old lady today!!!!

First in is from Jeanne. She says:-
81. "Hi Jane,

here is my Pram. Thanks for this TIAS.
I used size 20 Lizbeth in Ocean Sunset and Boysenberry Dark. The handle is size 20 Manuela gold. I don't know the number.
My location is North Dakota USA."

Next in overnight is from Fiona who saysL-
82. "Hi Jane,
Finally got a chance to sew in the ends and take a picture of my TIAS work this year. Thanks for running this again, it is great to be a part of.
It was made in size 40 Lizbeth 'Autumn leaves', with size 40 red Milford Mercerised cotton contrast (wheels and handle).
All the best
Fiona T"

Now I have Sharren's days 9, 10 and her final pram too. She says:-
83. "Hi Jane!
I couldn’t remember if I’d sent you Day 9, so here it is, along with Days 10 and 11, What an imaginative design! Really enjoyed working on it and trying to guess what it would turn out to be. I can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for us in 2014!!

Saturday

Just one pram in this morning from Grazyna who says:-
75. "Witam. Ukończyłam TIAS 2013, moje kolejne dni można zobaczyć na blogu
Serdecznie dziękuję za miłe wspólne tworzenie, mam nadzieję, że jeszcze kiedyś będę mogła wspólnie z innymi tworzyć coś cudnego.
Pozdrawiam

GrażynaO,

Again in English

Welcome. I graduated from TIAS 2013, my next day you can see on the blog. Thank you for your nice joint creation, I hope that even someday I'll be able to jointly create something marvelous. GrażynaO Regards,"

Nearly lunchtime (I'm STARVING) and I now have Elfriede's completed pram. She says:-

76. "Hi Jane!

Here is the finished pram I really loved doing it thank you so much for the pattern an your time.
Finished project Manuela (M205) for the body and Coats AIDA reed (47) for the wheels and handle.
Best Wishes
Elfriede
Esslingen Germany"

Jon has just popped in all the way from Malaysia. She says:-
77. "Hi Jane,
My pram is done. It took a few days because I couldn't find a contrasting thread in size 20 that can go with the HDT of the pram's carriage. Finally decided to use the Manuela thread, one of the last two balls that I still have. It is a pity that the Manuela thread is not manufactured anymore because I quite like tatting with it.
Thank you for another interesting round of TIAS and will be looking forward for the next one.
Jon"

Well you've GOT to read Dorcas's comments on her days 9, 10 and her final pram. This must be the most travelled TIAS in the world!!!
"This is really late, but after a hectic week of getting ready for a cruise followed by a week in the Caribbean with no internet, this is the best I could do. I am not even off the ship yet. Thankfully, we were not on the ill fated Triumph.
I can't wait to down load the remaining day(s) and get this finished.
At this point I am saying it is a baby carriage.
Getting back to reality,
Dorcas"

78. "My baby carriage is finished (except the sewing in of the ends which is a bit tricky in a car). Thanks Jane, for the fun and all your work on this. The thread is a Liz Beth 20 but I have forgotten which one. It loois like several people have uused it though.

This carriage has traveled the Carribean - from Oklahoma, to New Orleans for Mardis Grass weekend (not my cup of tea), to Jamaica, George Town on Grand Cayman, to Cozumel and back to terra fermma in New Orleans. We made it through customs in record time and into our car by 9:00. The last step is now done by 10:45.
Thanks all,
Dorcas"

Now I have another new arrival in the TIAS 2013. This is from Grace. She says:-
79. "Hello, this is my 3rd time doing TIAS but is my first time posting my results to you. Thank you for doing the TIAS, I enjoyed it a lot and force me to learn new tricks and refresh on the one I know but rarely used. My pram doesn't look too steady due to that I turn the first ring of the leg part wrong direction when I was joining the picot. I guess I must have forced a join where it shouldn't be joined. But none the less, I still am proud of my TIAS and am delighted seeing how some people put them on family pictures."
I am very proud of you too, Grace and thank you for taking the time to do the TIAS too.

Next is Nicole who has just popped into my inbox. She says:-
80. "Dear Jane,
I forgot to take a photo and send you Day 10, but here's finally my Day 11. Thank you so much for the whole experience, I really enjoyed it and I learned a lot.
I decided to tat it in one color, 369 DMC Babylo 20. In day 9 I ran out of thread and of course there was too much left on my shuttles after that :)
Best wishes from the Netherlands,
Nicole"

Thanks to all the others for their wonderful photos and comments, very enjoyable. Just showed my husband expecting praise and what did he say "a wheelbarrow for a kid" lol! Men!!

"Forgot to tell you, the thread I used for the pram was Coats size 20, colour 893 for the body and 459 for the wheels and pram handles."

Thursday's finished prams!

Good morning and a few more prams have arrived.

First in is from Stacy who says this:-

69. "Hi Jane,

Thank you so much for hosting the TIAS. I think I did pretty well for a new tatter and this will look great on a card for my new niece when she arrives in March.

I used Graceful Arts Handpainted size 40 in Rhapsody for the buggy and Lisbeth size 20 in colour number 615 for the wheels and handle.

Stacy (from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada)"

Next in is Svet from TN in the USA and who has had a problem with getting her picture to me!!! No worries, Svet, I think a lot of people must be slow sending theirs in too!!!!

70. "Hi Jane,I was quick to tat, slow to email a picture. I finished this the morning the last day came out. Thank you for the fun these past few weeks. I look forward to doing it again!

Cheers,

Svet."

I'm not sure where Svet comes from so I'll ask her and add it in later.

Next in is another tatter from Malaysia who has this to say:-
71. "Hello Jane,My completed pram - thread used are Lizbeth 20 Denim Whisper and vintage Coats 20 8749 - navy blue. I actually managed to tat the last 2 instalments in the midst of a frantic Chinese New Year schedule! Thanks again for the yearly wonderful fun and am now anticipating Tias 2014!
Bravo!!!
Jacee - Malaysia"
Well, Jacee, I hope there is another TIAS in 2014 - the prams are very slow coming in and I'm wondering if people just didn't like what they were making when they realised what it was.

The next in my inbox this morning is Coretta who has sent in days 10 and her finished pram.
72. "Thank you so much for the fun this year! Sorry for the poor picture quality, my only tat time is after the kids go to bed and sometimes I am just to tired to do the whole camera/ computer thing. So an iPod picture is where I am at tonight since I completed it last night and didn't get to take a decent picture today.

Anyways, days ten and eleven. I'm so glad I chose this color of thread. I have two nieces due this year. Wonderful! Oh yes, I forgot to add thread too - 20 GreenGal's HDT varied pinks and size 20 DMC cordonnet color 3326 Florida, USA"

Finally this morning I have Linda who says:-
73. "Hello,
Thank you for sharing and posting your tias. This is my first year I have tried to do this.
I enjoy your blog and love to tat for myself.
Linda"
Linda is from the USA.

Now this one doesn't count as it's the pram that Helene has already sent in but I had to show you what she'd done with it. Couldn't resist sharing.

Wednesday and more!!!!

First in this morning and at number sixty one is Margaretha who says:-

61. "Hi Jane! Here is the finished pram I really loved doing it thank you somuch for the pattern and your time, you are the best!

Cheers Margaretha"

Next in is Heather with her days 10 and 11. She says:-

62.  "Hi Jane. I finally got to day 9 & 10. I have been working on a baby set, how ironic that it is a baby stroller. I had to get the set done the baby is due very soon , I think I will give them the stroller too! Thanks again for all your hard work with the TIAS. Heather"

Now I have a starter and finisher all in one!!! It's my friend Donna from America. She says:-
63. "OK....I just have 1 but I did finish it. YEAH!
Jane,
THANKS for doing the TIAS's. I need to join in the fun more often. Mine is done in Lizbeth thread in a purple variety.
I really enjoyed doing the many techniques. I will confess that the first week I had to go to the Palmetto Tatters Guild meeting and get Pam F. to refresh my memory on how to do a split chain, Marie's method. (Marie was there, too, but I was sitting next to Pam.) Thanks for the page of notes for the Catherine Wheel Join. That was fun to learn. It also helped that Jeff, my dear husband, kept encouraging me to keep going and finish it. He would let me know when the next pattern page was ready. It does look like a lovely Pram (or Baby Bugger or Stroller.) But, for some reason, I think mine looks like a poodle on a skateboard. LOL
Take Care!
Donna T. from South Carolina, USA"

Next in on this dreary grey (outside!) morning is from Frances from 'down under' who says:-
64. "Good Morning Jane,
Here is my final picture of your delightful pram. It was fun to participate in the game this year. You have created another useful item for your collection of designs.
My pram was tatted in HDT by Jess, size 20 Queen Anthias and coats size20 lilac.
Thank you for all your hard work, I really enjoyed the game.

The final one in my inbox this morning at the moment is from Surya who says this:-
65. "Hello Jane,
It says something about the state of my memory that when I read clue 10, I thought "Contrasting colour? What contrasting colour?" Obviously, I did not do a good job remembering the intro. After scrounging through the stash, I did finally finish, and even managed to try a new technique (blip-less joins to attach the wheels and handles to the body).
I'm sending you a sunshine-y pram to join your lovely fleet, with many thanks for a fun few weeks of tatting.
This pram comes from Malaysia, and it is made of DMC cebelia 20."

Now I have Rebecca's finished pram with her comment and picture:-
66. "Good Morning Jane,
I was finally able to finish my homework. The colors I used are both Lisbeth. The varigated is #131 - Vinyard Harvest and the solid is #656 - Dark Wedgewood.
Thank you so much for organizing the TIAS. It provides a fun and welcome diversion in the middle of a long, cold winter.

67. "Hallo Jane,

Tuesday's prams

First in this morning is from Lou Dawn with SUCH a cute picture which makes the 50th person to drop in this year. Here's what she has to say:-

50. "Hi Jane! Here are my three baby buggies with my three babies (who are much bigger babies now). I used Lizbeth thread- cranberry bush, sea island citrus and Christmas green mix, black, silver and leaf green. Thank you so much for doing this-so much fun. I look forward to it each year I will be reading your blog through out the year. Thank you for sharing your patterns. Lou Dawn from Renton, Washington USA"

Sheila's already sent in her finished pram earlier (number 20 on the list) so I'm not counting these two as I count numbers of people who take part. I love her comment and am always happy to publish pictures too.

"Hi Jane: Two more finished. The first is in Lizbeth Summer Fun with a seagreen light and the second is in Lizbeth Easter Egg with matching light purple. It has really been fun and I will save the pattern as I will be doing more in future. I'm so sorry I've missed your earlier ones, just didn't realize what was going on, so now I am hoping for more in the coming years. I showed one off to the girls in my exercise class this morning and they loved it.

Many thanks again for all your efforts.

Sheila - from Duncan, a small city on Vancouver Island, Canada."

Now I have Monica's final day too and her comment is as follows:-

51. "Hi Jane,

The final one in my inbox this morning is from Pat who says:-
52. "Well, we have come to the end of another adventure with your "brain cell #3". This was fun watching the guesses come in. All that is left is hiding the ends and blocking. So here is my pram using lizbeth 80 apple pie and lizbeth 40 white (may have to re-do with the correct size white now.) :)
Pat G (Arial - The Tattered Faerie) from MO USA"

Back from a walk into town and I find Tine next in my inbox. She says:-

Now I have Umintsuru's finished pram to show you. She says:-
54. "Dear Jane,
I got back today and finished the TIAS. The baby pram pattern is perfect to celebrate the arrival of babies which I will need in a few months time. Thank you so much for it, Jane.
Best,
umintsuru"

You must read and look at this picture from Anita. She's got this to say and show:-
55. "Hi Jane,
Well it's here....the final submission.
What fun your TIAS is each year. I love the pattern. I'm thinking would be so cute mounted in a frame with cross stitch lettering for a Baby Sampler!! Will keep that in mind for when I need to make one.
Here's my last photo. This time, it's titled The Fantasy. Afraid the resolution is not the greatest, as it is composed of varying resolution photos. As you can tell, I love to play with photos on the computer, and your TIAS provides me with an excellent opportunity each year.
Thanks for all the work that went into the project.
Anita A., full time RVer, wintering in Yuma, Arizona, USA
Thread used, Lizbeth 132 Tropical Punch Variegated and Lizbeth 620 Azalea, size 20
The Fantasy... It's Summertime in Indiana. Grace and Molly have arrived for a visit with Gramma and Grandpa. Mommy and Auntie Emmy are there. Oh my, Grace and Molly are twins (actually are 1 and almost 3 now)…Great Grandpa and Me-ma have come in their 5th wheel…and the biggest fantasy of all…Me-ma is inside baking cookies…LOL (I don't bake much anymore)."

Next I have Axa's day 10 and her finished pram too. Thank you, Axa. Axa is from Hungary and she says:-
56. "Dear Jane!
It is my last 2 days of TIAS. There are all my pics on my blog here
I would like to play in the next TIAS too. It is only the start of 2013, and TIAS 2014 is so far... :)
Thank you for this game
Axa"

Now I have Ray who has just sent his completed piece in. This is his comment which is followed by the picture too.
57. "Jane,
Finished project using Lizbeth 20 thread. Leaf swirl (144) for the body and Leaf green (684) for the wheels and handle. Your timing is perfect since I will be having my first grandchild in June and will be making another in pink for a card. Thanks for all your hard work in design and keeping up with all the posts.
Ray ... North Carolina"

Next in is a new arrival who's not dropped in before. Debbie has only been tatting for a year but I'll let Caroline tell you as she's taken the time and trouble to send it in for Debbie:-
58. "A member of the Shuttlebugs of Omaha Nebraska brought her completed pram to our meeting for me to send for her. She has been tatting for about a year. I think she did a great job. She did not bring the colors of thread in so I don't have those. Her name if Debbie Erickson, Omaha, Nebraska USA."
Please thank her for me, Caroline.

Emilia is next in with her pram. She says:-
59. "Hallo Jane,
There it is. My pram. I think it looks pretty and I love to see all the other creative entrees.
Thank you for all the work you did. I am looking forward to next year when you hopefully organize another TIAS. Please don’t retire yet.
I used DMC Babylo nr 20 but I don’t have the color numbers.
Kind regards from Emilia, Netherlands"

Prabhjyot is next in and she's slowly catching up with her days 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
