Good morning, world.  Another windy, damp morning here but it's not raining - YET!!!!

First in this morning with her day 12 is Kelli who says:-

"Hello Jane,

Had a little too much fun with new pieces for my Etsy shop, but remembered that today was TIAS Day 12 just in time. 

I'm inclined to agree with some of the other TIAS participants that it looks like a butterfly.  Just waiting eagerly for the next clue.

Next in is Fox with a lovely idea.  Wonder if she's right?

"Jane, I see in my calculations I may have been a tad impetuous, for I now so clearly realize that TIAS this year has not anything to do with either Hansel and Gretal or The Walrus and the Carpenter, but is so obviously a depiction of The Owl and the Pussycat. So obvious. So the answer. Glad that is settled.  :  )"

Sarah has come back with her day 12 and yet another rhyme!!!  Here it is:-

Last one today and it's from Stephanie who says this:-
"Is it Day 12 already? 

I must congratulate you, Jane.  This year you are keeping us guessing until almost the last moment!  

There are still too many possibilities.  It could be a butterfly, a sailboat, an umbrella, or a shark, a seashell, or any number of other things.  Even taking into consideration the edges with and without picots, the number of days left, and the fact that each bit of the pattern is usually fairly small, it STILL could turn into almost anything.  My guess is the sailboat.  Or maybe the butterfly.  hmmmmm....but an umbrella is possible, too....or even a seashell.  I don't suppose it's the cow jumping over the moon, is it?  ;-)

First in with day 12 is Isa - again!!!!  This is so funny as I'm meant to be going to the market - not sitting here waiting for the first few in!!  What would I rather be doing?  Sitting here, of course!!!

(For our foreign friends, that’s where the sailing events at the 2012 Olympics took place.)"

"Hello, Jane,  With the pieces like this it looks like parts of a butterfly but I don't think that's it.  Several have suggested a sail boat, which it still could be, but I don't see the picots lined up quite right for that. Hmmm, I still don't know.

Jo has just arrived in my inbox from another soggy part of the UK.  She says:-

Back home after detouring around some floods on the Herts/Essex border, here is my day 12, yet more split rings but I seem to be getting the hang of them again.  

Rather surprised to spot on the BBC website today that there was flooding around where I used to live - one photo looks like the flooding is at most only feet away from my old ground-floor flat if it isn't already flooded. Some flats almost opposite which I think are part of the conversion of the victorian hospital buildings had to be evacuated in the night by a rescue boat from Essex fire service. I lived there 8 years without seeing any sign of flooding and I guess they wouldn't have kept the hospital in that building for as long as they did if it was at risk of flooding.

Tomorrow will be DAY 12.

Only one person in while I was asleep last night.  Now I'm hoping this is because everybody's up to date and not that a lot of people have given up!!!!!  No matter - the game continues tomorrow if only to keep me amused!!!!  Here's Nikki's comment and two pictures:-

Just arrived so hot off the press is Barbara's day 11.  She says:-

It's raining in Northern California, which is good news since we're heading towards a drought.  The last time we had a bad drought was about 40 years ago.

Here's my Day 11.  It looks like an abstract mother in a long hoop skirt and her daughter, wearing a long skirt without a hoop."

ANOTHER rainy afternoon and I'm so glad that Denise has popped in to cheer me up.  She says:-

Next is Chantal with a fantastic drawing of the finished TIAS - well, that's what she thinks it is.  Also her comment in rhyme too:-

Judy has now arrived with her TIAS.  She says:-
"Okay if understand the need for the split ring but to me it is torture. As you can see the first set I made a mistake somehow on the placement of the split ring so it looks bad..

Now reading on for day 9 am I understanding that I make a loop. Chain 4 then do the ring then somehow do 4 more chains to end the scmr?"
